I'm pretty sure there's going to be some pretty heavy problem solving involved in fitting a 1911.

Do you think there's more value in playing a video game for 80 hours or building a 1911 for 80 hours?
Why would you waste 80 hours building a 1911 when you can assemble a Glock (or clone, from aftermarket parts) in minutes? Isn't that an inefficient use of time? Modern machining processes and quality control have rendered all of that hand-work obsolete; where's the "value" in doing by hand what computers and machines can do faster and with much greater consistency?

(Wow. Now I need a shower. With bleach.)

I understand your point but fitting a 1911 is a skill, playing a video game is not.
