And you have a right to yours that I'll respect. If your referring to government intervention in their everyday lives, the government only has the powers that we the people give them via the voting booth. I'm not in favor of government intervention, I am in favor of the people giving the powers to the government to prevent individuals from gouging other individuals in times of disaster or need by inflating prices to the point only the rich can afford the Right the Constitution gave all of us. There are people out there today that cannot afford the inflated prices that are being charged today for a single box of ammo, gasoline after a natural disaster, and so on that are highly inflated. They might have been able to afford it back before that shat storm started, maybe..... So how do we rationalize this as a Republic form of Government where the people elect representatives to congress to represent us? Are we electing them to only protect the rights of those that can hoard and create artificial markets or do we want them to protect everyone from inflated pricing brought on by those artificial shortages in the markets be it ammo or essential services? It's a touchy subject and controversial no matter how one looks at it. For the record I'm not in shortage of any ammo or components, but I am taking the side of those that may be disadvantaged by the higher pricing. I hate to see posts where people can't take their kids to the range because they can't afford the ammo anymore and have to accept donated ammunition. There is a reason they can't. I also understand there is a huge increase in gun ownership that is contributing to the issue of higher prices in retail markets. Not the same as resellers creating a local shortage by hoarding. We have had hundreds of threads on here about walmart skullduggery among friends and hoarders among others. This shortage isn't the first go around driven by politics. School shooting one day, triple ammo/gun prices the next day. Was there a shortage then? No, it was out and out gouging the public for profit. Obama in office, threats to take away your guns, shortages. Trump in office, no threat to take away guns, prices go down. Politics.....greed..... .
