Hello,

I recently inherited some ammo (what a gift!) And came across some odd looking .45 ACP. Is anyone familiar with this ammunition, if it is live ammunition at all? Thanks!

45 Auto Rim has a primer and a rim like a 38 special
This has an extractor groove No primer and I bet it is a dummy Load for testing the weapon for cycling.

@ Logan Lacher

Put it in a kinetic bullet puller (looks like a hammer), put a cotton ball down in the puller where the bullet will end up to help protect the bullet and remove the bullet and see if there is any powder in it!

Thats what I would do, therefore not ruining any collector value, because you can put the bullet back in undamaged!

If that is a factory made dummy, I would not be surprised if it is worth $15 or more!

A primer strike would also ruin the collector value!
