As we know, if the SHT ever did hit the F, one man and one family won't be able to make it alone for very long. But imagine if you had 100+ acres somewhere in OK with plenty of resources to hunt, fish, grow, etc. but you didn't have enough manpower to sustain it. It would be nice if there was a way to vet and invite trustworthy OSA members & their immediate families to be part of your group if there ever was a total societal breakdown. I'm sure we all have our individual plans, but a chunk of people on this forum definitely would have a chance to survive and thrive together if the USA did ever dissolve into whatever for whatever reason (and no, I am not rooting for that at all). If we had multiple people on here with land, this could be regional (chapters) and it would mean less people to take in, but there would be trading communities (similar to how they setup on the walking dead series). I am not talking any anti-gov crap, just fellow OSA okies getting together to plan and prepare in case all this stuff we've been hearing about for the last 10+yrs ever becomes reality. The people who own the land and head the "regions" could maybe have get togethers like a car or Jeep club on somewhat of a regular basis to establish relationships, and maybe get help with various things, or fish together or whatever. Maybe even do community service or charity work together so people are able to get to know others and assess their value. I can tell you, my cop buddies already have these sort of groups planned to be with other cop families only. So why not OSA? It would literally be like a community group or a fraternal order, where the guy who owns the land is the president but maybe there are board members or whatever who help decide who has what role and who is allowed to be part of the group. Just a thought for those of us who don't have land but otherwise could contribute if the need arose and the option existed. Again, a community/club, not a group of militia or anything like that. Maybe even call it a homesteading club or something where people learn together about new things and pioneer skills and do camping trips on the land just for recreation. This idea could grow, and Oklahoma could be much more prepared and stable if there ever was any period with reduced or absent rule of law.
