On the revolver in your original post. I usually like black and gray on a stainless gun and ivory on a dark gun...but in this instance, I think the black/gray works better because it matches the frame and cylinder.

Agreed. My buddy has those same black and grays on a nickel J-frame and they look good; much better than on a blue or black one, like a normal 442. But yeah, it’s the frame and cylinder on the 340PD that makes them work here. I’m of the opinion that a carry gun must be reliable above all else. But nothing says you can’t make them look good too. I think it shows a little pride in ownership. Kind of like keeping your weapons and gear clean and lubed. Pride in your equipment and the knowledge it will work. And so will you.
