lol thats due to the linear comp I used. All the gases and fire go out the front with none ported on the side. It actually works well to direct the sound forward instead of to the sides.

I was just thinking I havent been to range in a month. Red Castle has been half under water for weeks.

USSA wasn't much better. Some of the bays STILL have standing water and their 300 range is still closed.

Don't be too precise with that gas block. Get it where the bolt locks back on the last shot and give it another 1/2 turn for reliability.

I put a linear comp on one of my WSSM rifles, It sure didn't like it. Pie plate accuracy until it was removed and then it was dead on target. I like the concept though.

Once I do a more thorough testing I'll let you know how this one works. I did a rough sight in of my red dot at 25 yrds, didn't get it perfect but was in the ballpark. Then got to busy playing with the trigger. When sighting I did it from a crouch bracing my stabling arm against my knee. Next time I plan to use the bipod and a table to sight it in along with the offset sights plus fine tune the gas block.

It sounds like you have done quite well for your first attempt. I'm sure you have started already thinking of the next one!

Thanks for taking us along for the ride as you worked through the build.
