So when I take the forms to the sherriffs dept. to get the signature, do they send the paperwork off for me or do they give it back for me to send?

As you can tell, I've never done paperwork for a class III before

When I took my papers, he sent them home with me to mail off. But that has been about 4 years now.

If I can ask, why wouldn't you do a trust?
    It is much easier.

Since it's my first class III item I just wanted to go through the whole process, just as an experience. I know, I'm weird.

The CLEO will never send in the paperwork for a customer. You'll have to go and pick it up from them. :thumb:

I was just curious. I have only done the trust and it was very easy.
I have just heard the stories about getting signatures being a huge pain.

I have always gone the individual route. My local CLEO has no problem signing off.

From what I've heard, the sherriff for my county signs em all the time as long as he gets a clean background check.
