I consider myself an adoptive Okie. I chose to stay here. Was a joke going around in my home county when I retired from the Air Force. "What do you call a guy who makes $50k/year in Los Angeles?" Answer was "Homeless." Could have gone back to Florida, too. The Crazy was getting pretty strong there, so we passed on that, too. Though my wife is a beach bunny. I did spend some time living in a small town in Western Colorado, when I was a teen, and liked it, but there aren't any jobs there to speak off. Got big city amenities, and small town atmosphere here, so we stayed.Wow, just think. In another year you'll be an honorary Okie.....
