I just finished this build. 308 Winchester. Surgeon SA Repeater receiver with surgeon bottom metal (AI mag). Krieger Barrel 11.5-1 twist treaded for a suppressor. Greybull stock. Vortex 6x24x50 Viper scope FFP. Rifle it sit up to shoot the 168 Sierra SMK. (M852)

Planning on having it BLACKNITRIDE by H & M Metal Process

If you are going to melonite, be sure and break in the bbl first. Then, clean the snot out of it. Once you nitride or melonite, that's it, no more changes. You might want to shoot it for 150 to 200 rounds to break in the bore, before you send it off.

Well I it took to the range today to break the barrel in and check the groups.
The first pic you see it was wondering around a bit the it settled in at the 2 o'clock position of the bulls eye. That is 10 rounds in the hole.

The second pic is a 8 shot group. The one flyer a 11 o'clock was my fault and I called it. The other 7 is sweet.
