And yet another UBG RTBA Pancake model is mine. The RTBA is what I like in an OWB Holster. I have several UBG holsters now of this model for different pistols. The RTBA is a Mid-Ride Holster, and I prefer this over a high-ride or a low-ride. Anyway, one of the things I like about UBG besides the great price and quick turnaround is the quality. His leather is very thin, yet stiff and durable. The holster is always very tight when you get it. I did the bread bag thing with it last night and will wear it today to get the break in going. I just like leather holsters, and it’s hard to beat UBG in my opinion when all factors are considered. Nate was good enough to stamp it with the USMC Emblem for me too.

Looks great, especially with the EGA stamp. What is the bread bag thing?

Haven't gotten mine yet. Looks like the same model I ordered, except I checked the 'mahogany' box.

If a new holster is really tight, wrap the pistol in a bread bag or wax paper, shove it in the holster, and leave it overnight. It will loosen up just a little. Then just wear it with the pistol in it and let it break in to your body. Mitch Rosen also sells a product called Leather Lightning. It’s the only compound I’d use to help break a holster in. NEVER use saddle soap or leather softeners of any other kind. They will make the holster floppy and leave you with a poorly fitted holster, kind of like wearing your gun in a leather sock. Not good.

That makes sense. My first thought was to coat it with some magic product and seal it in a bag to hold in moisture or something.
I only have one leather holster.
    Always something to learn.
    Thank you.

I prefer the wax paper, seems to make my fast draw lightning quick. Another great looking holster JD. Top shelf !!

Yeah, wax paper does kinda make the inside of the holster more slickery like. But I’m already like really quick on the draw so...I just used a bread bag this time.

When I find a S&W Governor hopefully with the Crimson Trace laser grip, I will definitely see if he can make me one. It will be an OWB for sure.
