Went to the location of an old homestead and found some cool stuff to include a silver ring.
What is that wingy thingy?
It has threads. So I'm thinking a hood ornament/radiator cap? Tried to google, but no luck.
There are thousands of winged radiator caps. Good luck finding that one.
My place would drive you crazy. Previous owner worked on big trucks and cars mostly outside and all over the place. Looks like when he removed a bolt, nut or part he just left it where it fell. I dug up the ring gear from a big truck rear end a couple years ago. Bolts and nuts seem to sprout in the drive, I can clean it up one year and find a bunch more the next year.
I look at it this way, that means you are just that much closer to finding any good stuff because you are cleaning out the old stuff.
