A short barrel pistol grip shotgun is still under the purview of the NFA. It is called an AOW and requires a $200 making tax or a $5 transfer tax.

(e) Any other weapon. The term 'any
other weapon' means any weapon or
device capable of being concealed on the
person from which a shot can be discharged
through the energy of an explosive,
a pistol or revolver having a barrel
with a smooth bore designed or redesigned
to fire a fixed shotgun shell, weapons
with combination shotgun and rifle
barrels 12 inches or more, less than 18
inches in length, from which only a single
discharge can be made from either barrel
without manual reloading, and shall include
any such weapon which may be
readily restored to fire. Such term shall
not include a pistol or a revolver having a
rifled bore, or rifled bores, or weapons
designed, made, or intended to be fired
from the shoulder and not capable of
firing fixed ammunition.

Love the Submariner in the pic... would love to get a short shotty for a 5$ stamp I like the old style cold birdshead grip though...due to recoil. If someone in OK has a line on this let me know.

That Shotty is surprisingly easy to shoot and at 10 yards patterned across the silhouette nicely.

It was a $5 AOW stamp because it was built with a grip.

Steve at Cold Hand Arms can build one as an AOW.

Thanks for the input. I shot a SbS and AoW with Steve. I don't know if the extra $$ is worth having a but stock?
