To make a long story short, I need to get a small patch job done on my roof from the last wind storm we had a couple of weeks ago. I was going to go get a full roof replacement, but insurance did not see enough damage during their inspection. I can't say I blame them. My current roof is 11 years old, and from my untrained eye looks to be in pretty good shape. The roofer who did 2 of my neighbor's houses thought that there was enough damage to justify replacement. I was skeptical, and it seems that insurance company agrees.

I learned last year that my top heavy, uncoordinated frame has zero business being on my roof. I have matching shingles here already. I'm just needing a qualified person to replace only a couple of shingles. I have cash in hand and ready to pay for a job well done.

If you are a qualified roofer, and able to take on this quick job, please PM me. I can provide you with my name, address, and phone number. You can swing by and take a look (it is visible from ground level) and let me know what you'd charge for this quick patch job.

House is located in Newcastle, only a couple of minutes away from the casino.

Thanks.

I spent the bottom end of my young life slinging heavies. If you were closer I'd just come out there and nail 'em on for you. How many do you need replaced?

It's very small. Only 1 shingle physically came off, but the patch would require 3 or 4 in total. It's very tiny, but bugging the crap out of me! I'm more than willing to pay for the work. If you need any 12ga buckshot, 22, or reloading supplies, let me know! We can work out a deal.

If it's just four shingles, if I was a little older and couldn't get on a roof anymore I'd buzz by a roofing job where guys are working and just walk up to one of the guys. Offer him $50 -100 to drive over and pop on 4 shingles and he'll do it (not sure what your financial situation is). Roofers are usually really easy going guys. It won't take him more than 15 minutes to do the job if you have shingles on hand. You'll just have to wait until he's done with the current job.

Thanks, that was probably going to be the plan!

I had some hail damage once and called my insurance company and they denied me so I told a roofer and they came out and met with the insurance adjuster and marked damage on the shingles and it was covered by the insurance. You might try that approach, it worked for me and others.
