Put the trap in a box................... Have had to catch a skunk in one of the bldg's at the construction site. Skunk would not go in until I put a blanket over the trap.

Wife is a Veterinarian. Nothing more fun to deal with than a pissed off and scared cat that doesn't want to be handled.

Call your vet first and ask if they'd be willing to, or can, sedate said cat in a crate before you put yourself through the agony. Cat scratches or bites from feral felines are NO JOKE.

I always wear a heavy coat and the thickest leather gloves I have before catching our barn cats to fix them...and they're halfway tame.

After I caught the cats, I took them to a vet and he gave them a shot that made them "not care" and then he took a scalpel and pierced their heart and that finished them off. I was thinking maybe they could be used on a trotline but PETA wouldn't have that. Hey don't blame me, I was raised poor.

We're going to try the covered live trap idea. I know we can't save them all but, my wife doesn't. I know about pissed off cats at the vet's. One of our cats bit me Wed. at the vet's. He didn't like a thermometer stuck up his but. I can't fault him for that. Thanks for all the ideas.
