That is gorgeous. I think I have a woody. Still to this day the most accurate rifle I have ever owned was a 50s vintage half mag 24" microgroove barrel Marlin 36A. 30/30. Fore end was shaped just like that but wood was darker. Would shoot Ace of clubs all day, every day factory ammo.
Never had the .22 version though.

I've always wanted a 39a . Just so happens I had a birthday and I got this from my Dad. I shot his pre micro groove barrel lever action marlin as a kid shooting snakes in my grandparents pond.
