Nothing feels better in my hand than either a 1911 or a Browning Hi Power. With that said, the ergos are dated. My HK P2000 has an extended slide release (ambidextrous, no less) that does not require a change in grip to reach--not so the 1911 and BHP. The P2000 also has an ambi mag release that requires no change in grip to activate--not so the 1911 and BHP. It comes with four interchangeable back straps, and the P30 series of HKs comes with interchangeable back straps and side grip plates, enough of each to provide for 25 different combinations to provide a near-perfect fit for almost any hand--again, not so the 1911/BHP. The P30sk is on my short list--not so the 1911 or the Hi Power.
