I know nothing about these Waltham aircraft clocks but seems like it is kind of old and in nice condition. Other than installing it in an airplane I don't own and never will has anyone used them for anything else?

Thanks!

Military aircraft instruments operate on +28vdc power supplies. This might limit applications outside of aircraft instrument panels. If it is not of military origin, it might be used as a bedside or office clock with a +12vdc power source.

I’d make a nice base or housing for it and turn it into a desk clock. Assuming it is electric, a cheap boost converter will take care of any voltage needs If ya want to get really fancy you could power it with a 18650 and charge it from usb

Had them in OH58's back in the day. They're just your basic wrist watch on a more bulky scale. Maker ya a nice wooden box to put it in.

Took mine out of my 172 when I had it and mounted on bench in hanger, never could remember to wind it. Most small planes had them in 40's,50's and 60's. They were an option on most of them. Every one is digital these days.
