Actually there is a lot that we in the gun community can do to reduce this type of thing. Instead of constantly moaning, writing letters, sending emails, or calling our representatives about how badly .gov treats poor little innocent us, we need instead to push our representatives to DEMAND that these idiots (also part of the gun community) be prosecuted for their idiocy. I'm not talking about the [ho-hum] typical 'to the fullest extent of the law' BS that we hear time and time again. I'm talking about forcing into law, laws that prohibit monetizing these acts (no YouTube money, no book deals, no movie rights, etc.), no publicity (no after-action interview, no videos allowed, no Podcasts/VLOGs, etc.), a total demonizing of the individual(s) involved, guaranteed execution (within one year) for any connected deaths - NO exception, no plea-bargaining, no probation, no house arrest, nada! Play stupid games . . . lose everything (including your life in some circumstances), period, no exceptions. Granted it won't stop all of it, but when it becomes clear to these idiots that there is no 'fame or glory' but only unabridged hatred against them for their gun-related stupidity, it may at least reduce some of it. For those that do want to go out in a 'blaze of glory' then so be it, make their wish come true as quickly as possible.
