OK, first of all the 119th location doesn't do their meat in house ( I could be wrong about that). Pretty sure they get it from the gas station (47th & Mission Rd). I've never seen much of a line at the 119th spot but the line at the Mission Rd location is down the block. Secondly, I do like Q39 but they are WAY too hipster for me anymore. I've tried multiple times lately to get food from them and they act like it's a privilege for me to eat there. I've had them refuse to serve me burnt ends because I wanted them to go. I've also sent folks there for the burnt ends and they told them they couldn't have them because they were saving them for later. WTF? You have an item but are saving them for later!?! The ribs there were pretty sad the one time I had them. I refuse to spend any more of my money there. Plenty of awesome BBQ joints in KC. BTW, the ribs and sandwiches the wife brought home from Jack Stack were pretty frickin' good! And the beans...forget about it! Nobody, and I mean nobody, can hold a candle to Jack Stack's beans. In fact, I'm having their beans and my homemade German potato salad tonight for my "lunch".
