Simple way to put it is go to a phone store and hold a phone 4 inches from your face, if you can see the individual pixels and the grid between them you won't like a VR headset with that resolution.
I was thinking about a vr headset but honestly was looking at the Vive Pro. Used the regular vive a couple times messing around with Arizona Sunshine and enjoyed it. The main issue was the resolution was not high enough on the regular vive. Truly you have to have as high a resolution as possible since the screen is so close to your face. Simple way to put it is go to a phone store and hold a phone 4 inches from your face, if you can see the individual pixels and the grid between them you won't like a VR headset with that resolution. Look up a phone with a similar PPI as the headset you are looking at and try a few out. The people at the store will look at you weird but it's an easy way to make a comparison. BTW you also have to have a GPU capable of powering the resolution you choose at 90FPS or better. 30FPS does not cut it for VR, you will end up sick. If you do end up going for it here are a couple things I would pick up for myself. If I had a VR headset I would probably play it almost exclusively. The only thing that is a little weird to get use to is aiming, the sights seem to be just a little bit off. If you play the game you will see the first time you actually aim to shoot. And I would suggest trying it for yourself... https://www.level8vr.com/
