Ok....let me be a little bit more specific...it's on the 1911 platform. Produced for the United States military in World War 1, but was never delivered because the war ended.
Clue No 2......It has the same name as a brand produced today but not relation whatsoever.

North American Arms? Lots of debate as to whether or not they’re “real” 1911’s since the US govt never bought any.

Winner!!! They are real 1911's...same platform that JM Browning designed. In my book they are rarer than any Singer. It's all 1911 history.

Was talking to Ken Hallock one time and he told me while working as an Air Force armorer stationed in Germany in the 1950's he came across a Singer frame in the armory.
