Apache the town isn’t. It’s about blown away. Seen better days. Use to have Mobetta there were Garth got his clothes.
I use to live not far from there other side of the county line. Just a few miles north of Porter hill. Far outskirts of Elgin.
Use to go to the Apache rattlesnake festival every year. Was fun. Plus lots of yard sales. Only been once now that I live in the city.
One thing of note is it seemed to always rain on this weekend of the fair. Wonder if it did or made me a liar.
I remember the last 7+ footer they caught. Ended up having it taxidermy and placed in a giant glass aquarium. I remember seeing it when it was alive and I sure would not like to come across one in the wild.
We were there today. My daughter rode in the rodeo. And will ride again tomorrow. I didn't get to the festival part, just the rodeo.

Waynoka rattlesnake hunt is next weekend if I remember right. Lot's of crazies on the sand dunes and bikers in town. Fun times. Been a few years since going, but it was a blast in the past.
