Has anybody experienced a firing pin breaking, or gas ring failure? If so, how many rounds and rate of fire did it take? Do you carry and extra pin and bolt with you?

Never had a problem with my bolt or my firing pins, but ran into some crappy gas rings, they showed their true side within a few hundred rounds, no big deal, I always carry my small parts tackle box with me when at the range, easy fix

I've had gas rings go out with a few hundred rounds and I've had others last thousands. Luckily they are dirt cheap and easy to swap out. Only broken firing pin I've had was in my service rifle in boot camp lol

Not too common I think, at least for me but I usually test for ring wear before installing BCG.
The FP is a little different in that I'm not aware of a test as to when they might break, only after the fact.
