[QUOTE="tRidiot, post: 3376683, member: 9374"] This is why AR 'pistols' with a stabilizer brace have become so popular. I have an SBR, took me like 10 months to get my stamp. I've considered building an AR pistol, but I really don't like the stabilizer braces much, so I have held off. But bottom line is, if you don't attach a stock OR a standard buffer tube that can accept a stock, then it is still classified as a pistol. If you EVER take that pistol tube off and attach a standard buffer tube to the lower receiver, it is forevermore classified by the ATF as a rifle, and my understanding is, if you even do that for 5 minutes and then go back to a pistol buffer, you are in violation.
