AR Stoner upper

So I see Midway has a sale on AR Stoner 450 bushmaster upper for $319. I know zilch about AR anything except from my military days. Any one have any input on Stoner or the merits of 450 bushmaster.
Reading up on the 450 and like what I am reading.

The only thing I've tried from the AR Stoner brand is a bolt. It was way out of spec and I ended up tossing it in the trash and getting a DPMS

Don't know about the Stoner uppers, but my Stoner Aluminum mags run without failure.

I am thinking a 250 grain bullet at 2200 fps is going to jack up what ever I run into in this part of the world and looking at my small bank account I am pretty sure I will never be hunting Rhino's !!

And the deal is for the whole upper assembly!

I have 2 ar stoner uppers, a few mags, two barrels, two bcg groups and a lpk. All work great. Nothing out of spec.....

Just curious but why didn't you return it for a replacement or refund?

If it was something expensive, I would have.

I understand but being an old retired guy who tells people to get off his lawn, I just hate to get screwed.
