Are CCW prohibited by law at the state fair?

It's probably plenty safe with the detectors and all. No armed thug could possibly get in the fairgrounds. Not with those gates. I mean, it's not like there are miles of chain link around or anything.

The law is that a event has to have not just metal detectors but also have like fences that are hard to penetrate. A event that doesn't have BOTH and says you cannot carry, is violating the state law

I tested it Wednesday. The detectors went of and the officer asked if I had a firearm. I said "Yes". He said they are not allowed and that I needed to leave it in the car.
