I've been told my 954 was very painful when i was up in the power band. I wish i had the gopro back then. I was told the flame it spit out the tail pipe on decel was a sight to see. Loudest I've heard is top fuel dragsters. But for sheer earsplitting pain it has to be Formula1 cars. I can listen to a pack of Harley's rumble down the road all day long but when you're sitting in front of the bar whacking the throttle over and over again you're just an annoying *******. The doppler shift of a moving bike does make it much quieter when it is behind you than when its in front. Loud pipes don't save lives. Training, skill, and gear saves lives. But loud pipes sound good.
