Are the days of "flipping" ammo about over?

I have noticed extraordinary supplies flowing into gun stores and chain stores (except Wal-Mart) in the past 10 days. There has been an abundance of 9mm, 40 S&W, 45 ACP and measured amounts of 22LR. There are small price increases, but nothing like the "open market" I have seen on OSA classifieds.

Does this mean that the days are about over for buying at your local Academy and selling at a tidy mark-up to your "buddies" on OSA?

I can say for sure that the days of $25 for 20 rounds of .223 are over (for the time being). I saw a more than 50 cases of Federal .223 at my local store this past weekend at $599 for 1,000 rounds!

Rant over. Awaiting the flames.

I think that prices are starting to settle down a little. Cabelas has ammo almost every day at near normal prices. Almost everytime that I cruise through a Walmart, I see some ammo on the shelves
