We've been manning bases in Germany for over 70 years now. It's time to let them defend their own country.
Not sure what NAFTA had to do with China, but I will say the one of the three of us that benefited the most out of that deal was Canada.
Canada and Mexico. They both greatly profited from our manufacturing decline. Not one American company can compete with Mexico or Chinas cheep wages. About all of Canada’s trades were negative for American companies. It was lopsided against us in Canada’s benefit. President Trump while in office put an end to all of this. Since Beijing Biden’s been in office it’s been all wiped away.

Clinton by removing tariffs from foreign countries made it impossible for American companies to compete with Chinas or Mexicos slave labor wages, that resulted in companies moving to and selling out to China or Mexico. That’s it in a nut shell.

Another thing to mention is Democrats out of control spending. Been going on for many many decades. Democrats love dept. It causes inflation. Inflation deflates their debt with foreign countries but screws Americans, mostly retired Americans with out additional income.

Feck Democrats. All of the socialist commies.

Our bases in germany are not so much about protecting them as it is reminding them they got their asses handed to them and here we still are, as well as a ever present force during the cold war.

I do think we should move our bases and troops to Poland tho, the Poles love us and want us there.

I was going to type something along those lines as what you just posted there. They did start two world wars and broke many treaties in a 20 plus year period.

I agree with moving the bases to Poland like Trump wanted to do. Our presence would be greatly appreciated there.

Those dipsticks are buying oil and gas from Russia instead of us. Totally undermining the whole reason of our NATO protection there against Russia. Enriching the people you were scared of invading and steamrolling the country. Makes no sense but not much does in this wacky world.

Re-shoring manufacturing requires government policies that encourage domestic manufacturing, discourage foreign products, or both.

That is not in the direction of a free market. A lot of people say that level of government interference in business is socialism.

If it is more profitable to make products in other countries for import into the US, that is what businesses will do. That is free-market capitalism.

Just sayin'

Thank Clinton for NAFTA and what the other trading treaty was. It destroyed our manufacturing industries and shipped them to other countries.
Does it really matter anymore whom is responsible? The only thing that maters now is how to solve the problems, and that goes with National Security, infrastructure, social programs, employment, energy, potable water, and many others as well as trade.

I suppose that it is less expensive for Germany to purchase Natural Gas and oil from Russia via a pipeline (or two) than from the United States via (ships?). From an economic standpoint it does make sense but doing it this way also puts Germany under Russia's 'thumb', so to speak.

Putin (Russia) and Xi (China) are not stupid and unless we smarten up, put our petty differences aside and start working together as one Nation, we may find ourselves in the same situation as Great Britain which was once a World power and ruler of the seas, but is now just a minor player on the World stage.

Russia is a Christian nation that rejected communism...they should be our natural allies against atheist globalism and radical islam. They would if they could, but you saw what happened when our elite became scared of this happening, and Trump took the bait. He should have given the middle finger to the media and the democrats and forged a partnership with Putin. They were the biggest factor in the defeat of eye-sys in Syria. Russia was b0mbing islamists and Trump was b0mibing Russians.
