Just got back from Vegas this afternoon. The wind, the wind!!! Yesterday I drove through snow and sleet at Flagstaff, Arizona.....then a few miles East of Flagstaff, the wind was 2x worse than here. Saw several 18wheelers flipped over from the wind. By the time we hit Gallup, New Mexico the wind had died down a little.
Did go on the Skywalk......scary, but cool.
Did drive over the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge....the walls on the edges were to high to see over it.
Didn't ride any rides on the Stratosphere!!!!
***Did get to see to Vince Neil of Motley Crue*** He has a tatoo shop on Las Vegas Blvd. In the casino...O'sheas. It was about 11:30pm, my wife was playing blackjack and I needed to stretch and walk around. I walked into his shop and looked at the sample books of tatoo designs. I heard someone call out..."Yell, if you need help". Looked up and it was Vince.....getting ready to tatoo a HOT blonde in the front area of his store....windows on the sidewalk....let people see him helping tatoo people.
Went to many casinos.........ate LOTS of food from great restaurants in the casinos and went to two of our favorite buffets. Really, the ONLY buffets we'll eat at. The Bellagio buffet(fantastic) and the Paris buffet(excellent).
**Collected some chips from the Sahara casino. It will shut down very soon.***
The Wynn was great as usual!!! I got to play golf and my wife loved the spa at the Wynn. When we went downtown...Freemont area, I had heard of this casino and wanted to collect a chip from it. El Cortez.
El Cortez is a fantastic old school Vegas style casino!!!! Quiet, clean, old school class!!! I bought a chip and the wife wanted to play the single deck blackjack. Man-oh-man........she made MONEY!!!! Every afternoon, around 3:00ish, we went there and she tripled her money!!! We couldn't believe it....the second night after we left...we started laughing....thought it was a dream!!! We'll be going back to the El Cortez!!!
We were out there a week but had to cut the second week short. My father-in-law is having heart surgery. So we came back.
Good to be home................................but, I already miss Vegas!!!
