I can understand how an employee maybe having some personal issues and not be an asset to the business, but this certainly sounds like something the owner should be made aware of. I have never had anything even close to treatment like that with Big Boys. They have always been pleasant and helpful.

Give them another chance to earn your business. Your experience was very far from normal for them.

Geez, wish I was there. I would have shot as fast as I could while she was getting onto you. Then dropped, oh, you meant an si second. I was using metric seconds when her ire turned on me.

I’m pretty sure I shoot faster than 1 per second there. Always have had the same guy as the RO.

Went to Big Boys this morning with a friend to shoot at 10 am. There was a wide strip of frozen over snow about 10 feet wide covering the entire front of the store. I had a knee replacement 3 weeks ago and it was extremely slick. When we went inside I mentioned it and some pink haired young fat girl said “nothing we can do about it, we don’t have any way to fix it”. We checked in and went to shoot.
As we were shooting, the same girl came out and reminded us that we couldn’t fire more than one round per second. Ok fine, I started counting one thousand one, one thousand two, etc as I was firing shots into a fist sized hole at 7 yards. After a while she came back out, obviously upset and told me I was still shooting too fast. I asked her if she had a timer and perhaps her time could be better spent clearing the driveway so customers didn’t slip and fall. She then told me to “pack my ****” and get out. I packed up and asked to see a manager. Some big old boy with a nose ring and I sat on the couch and had a nice polite discussion. I asked him if I should return to his range in the future. He told me things might be different next time, depending on who was range safety officer.I also asked him about the ice and he couldn’t or wouldn’t offer an explanation why it hadn’t been removed. Maybe I should have handled things differently but the list of places I spend my money grows smaller every day. Big Boys will never see me there again. Too bad really since it’s a nice range.
Funny you say that, around 3-4 years ago I went to the range a few days after some snow and went down hard on some ice in front of the store. I was alright, mainly embarrassed I fell, but complained also and they didn’t really seem too concerned.

I haven’t been there for a few years, my dad used to work there and after he passed I didn’t want to go back, but sad to hear it went down hill. There wasn’t anyone downright rude when I was going

Like every place else they are probably having a hard time getting employees. I wish I was in better shape and off the O2, I would be out looking for the best job I could find.
No doubt. Covid has been blamed for the deterioration of customer service in many places. I’d be willing to supervise their range a couple of days a week and offer some training to those in apparent need of customer relations skills. I might be the only one left after a day or 2 though.

Are you the guy that put the holes in the roof? 😂 I’m fine with the 1 second rule and seriously thought I was in compliance. She didn’t and didn’t like it when I asked her if she had a timer.

There is a certain irony to you, a usps lifer, giving them customer relations skills. Given some usps stereotypes. I like it.

Nope, I’ve never shot a roof/ceiling. I don’t have good enough aim.

I’m thinking at the next ENS the 7.5 and 12.5 5.56 won’t be suppressed…see her face when a fireball rips out the end of it and halfway down the bay

True but my employees were required to provide good service and if we had a line I worked it myself. You won’t find that at any post office these days. Service is rapidly becoming a rarity.
