Been an issue with S&W revolvers off and on for 35 + years...but more so I think in the 2005 - 2015 time frame.

I've a 1989 (maybe 1990, will have to check) 16-4 that is pretty bad. My last new 686-6 has it as well, which is enough for me to say "never again". I like the look of P&R Smiths better anyway.

My first .44 mag was an import. It was clocked wrong. As in the article, the rear sight had to be moved to the extreme left in my case but it still shot well.
