BATF accepts personal checks?

I'm getting my paper work ready to send in. Can I use a personal check for the $200 tax to the BATF?

I've done it just to know when they've cashed my check. I just check my bank account.

This is what I always suggest, makes it so much easier to verify they have received the transfer. No need to check the status of a transfer these days till 45-60 days after your check clears.

Also, much easier to replace a personal check than a US Postal Money order.
