Had a plumber come in and replace a mixture of plastic, copper and galvanized In the master bathroom with PEX. In the process he told me the existing faucets had to be replaced, gave me a song and dance about 1/2 inch verses 3/8 and other BS. I was on pain meds and brain dead enough I didn't argue with him but basically he said he couldn't hook up to the existing faucets. The faucets were bought at Lowes probably 15 years ago. As far as I know the supply line hook up for a bathroom sink faucet hasn't changed in my life time. Wondering what could possibly be different on the old verses what you buy today? These are like $50.00 two handle sink faucets, pretty common.
