BB Gun or Air Rifle?

I saying I don’t care. If it uses air to push a projectile it’s a BB gun. If it shoots a pellet, or a dart it’s still a BB gun that shoots pellets or darts. If you don’t agree with me you’re wrong.

Kinda hard to call a .22 caliber pellet/air/whatever gun a BB gun...

Well, the gun not withstanding, BBs and pellets are not the same.
There are also airguns out there that shoot both.
I think the distinction is based on what it is capable of shooting. It can be a BB gun, a pellet gun, or both in one.

Would a shotgun with BB shells be an "assault" BB gun?

BB gun is a cheap, smooth barreled toy. An air rifle is more accurate and more powerful.

$70.00 or more = Air Rifle
