This. I have a beautiful Beretta AL2 with fixed IC. I can miss a quail with it but still have trouble with the safety location. It’s wonders on the skeet field though where I don’t need to make split second decisions on safety choices.
I guess I’m used to it, coming from my Beretta Xtrema 2. I switch back to my Benelli M series guns without issue though. The Super Vinci, now that’s a safety location that I don’t like.

Yeah I've not noticed the forward Beretta safety being an issue, and I'm used to the top safety of an O/U. Actually when shooting clays, my actions are open till I load and am getting ready to pull the trigger from the shooting box. Safety back on at the end of the round. In the field, I walk (or wait if blocking) with my finger on the safety so I'm ready to switch it to fire when the bird rises or passes. Same with waterfowl.
