Only modular add on was the adjustable grips. Seems like 45ACP is the most important thing in the Army's eyes right now. I'll buy it, but the Army wont.

Not to start a caliber war, but it seems like the Army is wanting something in the middle of 45 and 9. Whether that will be 40 or something else remains to be seen.

I wouldn't buy one just from what is stated in that article. If they want a .45, the army should look at the xd/Xdm line from Springfield. Has a safety, if they have to have one, and most everything else they usually look for. Smith & Wesson would a second option.

The Army hasn't said anything about going back to .45ACP…and the latest handgun initiative isn't caliber centric.
