I would be checking to see if the hotel offered free / reasonable shuttle service to the SHOW. Fremont St. was our first choice BEFORE the 'EXPERIENCE' came to be. Construction will tie traffic up and cause problems. The bus pass is a good deal if staying near a main terminal. Bellagio is first class, Circus Circus has a decent buffet, Caesars is a one stop, no need to go elsewhere; eats, shopping, gambling, probably not too worried about the pool in Jan but it is awesome. MGM, Planet Hollywood are good places. Hard Rock is a ways away from the SHOW but always a great place. Casino Royale, is a DUMP. Rio is not near anything. Wynns is expensive but worth a look. A room is a room and not the reason we go to Vegas. Gambling is gambling, the people and atmosphere is what changes. It will all depend on what strikes your fancy at the moment. Transportation is a major factor. Cabs suck and get expensive, especially if you don't tell Abduhl where to go and how to get there. The bus is cheap but sometimes slow and just gets you somewhat close. Hotel shuttle is the way to go, if available. Rental car is a waste, parking is a nightmare.
