I've stayed at Venetian, Palazzo, Cosmopolitan, Planet Hollywood, Luxor and Monte Carlo 1) Venetian / Palazzo is my recommendation. The Sands convention center is just downstairs so very convenient. Really nice rooms (all suites) and great location on the strip. Casino is nice and plenty of shopping between Venetian and the connected Palazzo if that tickles your fancy. Good casual dining options. I recommend I Heart Burgers upstairs, great burgers, and Public House downstairs by the hall that leads to Sands. If you want some REALLY good food hit up B&B. I have never had such good food before or since. 2) Planet Hollywood is decent and well located and affordable. Pretty meat and potatoes. Decent casino. 3) Cosmopolitan is a bit nicer in the rooms and you can get upgraded to a room with a view over the neighboring Bellagio water show fairly easily. The casino has one of the worst holds on the strip though.
