I'm fine with that, as a matter of fact, when I first started here (my first online forum too) I used my real name till I figured out that I was the only one.
Then I did something very stupid and after that, it didn't make any difference what name I used. I was a pariah. Still working that massive error in judgement down (rightfully so).

If facebook, and twitter required real names, and verification that they are real, they wouldn't exist.
People hide behind their screen names to be keyboard commando's and post stupid stuff.
When you are you, the tendency is to be less contentious.
