So after some reading and research, I decided to order a Traditions Kentucky Long Rifle Kit. Midway has them on sale right now; it was $298 with taxes and shipping. Should be here next week. Most places are asking $350-400 for the same Kit so I feel like I got a good deal. I’m a history buff, in particular the Revolutionary and Civil War Periods, so this rifle from 1773 era fits right in. I read about all I could find on the subject, watched a couple of vids and am excited to do this. Has anyone used the Laurel Mountain Brown to do one of these? It seems a lot of the better quality outcomes have used this finish over Brownells Plum Brown, or a cold blue, but of course, any input from OSA will take priority over what others have had to say as we all know the real experts are all here. But seriously, any tips or techniques you used or recommend would be appreciated. I’ll post a new thread and pics of the project as I get started on it and will update the thread as I go. I just have to have patience...take my time and do it right. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
