I've seen 7 in the last month! Mild winters mean growing prey population and then more cats! I love dropping coyotes, but I, honestly, don't know if I'd shoot a cat anymore. I enjoy watching them too much...
If you like upland bird hunting, you will drop a bobcat in a heartbeat.

I'll trap them, and don't mine shooting with a shotgun. I'm shy of rifles and giant holes other .22LR. I was hoping my .17WSM would be the answer but the last coyote I shot, the bullet was pretty destructive. That's only been once out 9 though.

.17HMR seems to be a one hole caliber.
Not the range of your .17WSM though.
