Bob Stoops was refusing to be compensated for stepping in as the interim coach to get the Sooners through their upcoming bowl game. The University of Oklahoma is not going to let me do it for free.

True, me too but the point is that he didn't want any compensation. Not one penny for coaching the bowl game. But the University will not let him do it for free.

Bob Stoops' picture should be beside the definition of Class.

When he left I and a bunch of others thought it was time. Apparently he did too and stepped away gracefully with class and he still stayed around and supported the program. He remained in Oklahoma making it his home. Now he's willing to step back in when he doesn't need or have to and even do it for free. They should go ahead and commission a statue already!

And heck, if he's had enough rest and got his competitiveness back I'd even say give it back to him and let him give it another go if he wants it. Worse choices abound...
