Deer are just tough. My buck two seasons ago had his bones sticking out of one foot, like it was caught on a fence or something. Not sure how he survived but it made me sick just to look at it. The funny thing is, I didn't notice a limp.

Yep, deer have a LOT in common with goats. I think they're just too stubborn to admit when it is time to call it quits. We have taken a few with antler pokes that were old enough to have some developed scar tissue and was in the area where you would think it wouldve ended it.
Seeing stuff like this is what keeps me motivated to keep pushing harder to find every last bit of accuracy and consistency in my bow shooting to feel ready for hunting season.
