I have .357 and .44 mag brass split on the first firing and I have .45 auto from the 50's,some that has been used so many times the headstamp is worn off. I use it till it splits or if loading hot magnum loads I watch for loose primer pockets too.

It depends on how you load it and what you shoot it in. Hotter loaded rounds will not last as long obviously. Light loaded target loads will last longer.
Inspect your brass before each loading and you'll find signs of wear, split cases, bent brass, etc. Depending on how severe the brass is bent will decide if it can be reloaded or not.
