Am I the only one who grew up listening to the "Voice of College Football" on Saturday afternoons? In my mind, you always knew it was a big-time college football game if Keith Jackson was calling the game. And unlike some of the newer kids on the block, he didn't believe that talking negatively about a school or program was part of the job. He was always a first-class act, while also being a down home, aw shucks kinda guy. We'll never see his like again. RIP, sir.
Didn't know who he was until your second post. I know that much more about him now.
Just reading his name I can hear his voice in my head. He will be missed.
