Oh no, it will be good for the young students. They will be more alert, able to grasp complex mathematical problems more easily, enter into meaningful dialog with others, prepare and submit their homework in a more timely manner and in general be more social. It's a win-win situation...sarcasm.
my best friend became a very good mechanical engineer and smoked everyday. so next!

I’d be surprised any professional psychologist would advise switching one crutch for another, many people giving up smoking will turn to MJ or alcohol.

Amoco fired an Exlog employee for smoking it in the Exlog shack where we had cameras. That brought out the drug dog. It was legal in Alaska, you could actually board a plane with it.

This was in 1985 on the semisubmersible Ocean Odyssey in the bearing sea.
Way to dangerous to not have you full senses about you.

Medical or not I wouldn’t want police or fire to be on it either, they need to find another means of employment IMO

No one wants anyone at work to be impaired with cannabis; by the same token, no one wants anyone working with them with a buzz from Nattie Light, either. It's always fun to watch people on this forum (which has a "What Are We Drinking Tonight? thread) wax poetic about the use of cannabis, and how it will just turn the whole state into a junkie free-for-all, with people crashing into each other all over the streets, high on weed. Wasn't that a similar argument that the anti-gunners used when conceal carry was up for a vote? "It's going to be the OK Coral with people shooting each other in the streets!". Didn't happen, and neither will the cannabis bumper cars paranoia of the fudds. Same arguments used during prohibition?

For the most part, those who will smoke it recreationally are already smoking it now. Just because it became legal doesn't mean there will be a stampede for the local dispensary.

I’m genuinely very sorry for your loss. A parent should never have to outlive their children. There certainly are exceptions however the overwhelming majority of good responsible children come from good responsible parents and vise versa. My wife is a special ed (behavior specialist) teacher and over decades of involvement with her classes I can tell you for a fact that is the case.
We have had drug issues with both of our kids! When I was a kid, all there was to do, was drink, and smoke, to LOOK COOL! With the BARRAGE of left wing propaganda targeting kids today, beginning with small kids cartoons, I'm surprised ANY OF THEM CAN AVOID FALLING INTO THE LEFT-WING NUT TRAP! Not only drugs, but ALL MANOR OF PREVERTED SEXUAL BEHAVIOR, AS NORMAL!! They are also being taught to DISRESPECT EVERYONE, and care only for themselves! We used to call these kids, SPOILED BRATS! I don't remember voting for this type society, I guess we must have voted for left-wing Politicians that PRACTICE THIS, NON-SENSE EXCEPT AT ELECTION TIME? Cabinet member that is MARRIED TO ANOTHER MAN, AND PROUD OF IT? GIVE ME A BREAK!!

This is the best interpretation for the yes side I have seen in this thread. Thank you!!
