Junior, my young forky that lays around the yard like a dog, has almost shed his velvet in the span of 1-2 days.
I've still got a couple buck in velvet, but most are clean. Unless something else shows up (which is historically possible), "trophy" hunting isn't looking too promising.
We have about 2 weeks to protect our fruit trees with wire cages before the bucks start rubbing them. I have lost several fruit trees to rubbing. grrrr.

I can absolutely relate............... 3k pics of does, fawns and dinks. One cam left to check tomorrow.
