It actually sounds pretty fun getting to figure out a new area with new patterns and deer. I've been at the same place so long it's almost turned into raise em, feed em, shoot em, eat em.
Sounds like a season on public land would cure your ails lol

It is a fun experience, but after being deer-less for 2 years, I've got an itch I really need to scratch.

I pulled cards tonight. I have never had cameras out this early. Had more pictures of velvet than does. Had several about the size of the above road kill. How much antler growth will they put on over the next month?

Pretty much done. What you see is what you get.

Dennis is right. From what I've read, the hardening process has more than likely already started. I had some bucks completely out of velvet by the last week of August last year.
