Sounds like its basically a 30-06ai. IMR 7828SSC is a good powder with Berger 185gr bullets. Some of the newer powders would work probably even better. It's certainly not an 1,800 yard deer cartridge, it will go transonic somewhere between 1400-1600 yards. KE at 1000 yards is around 1000ft/lbs depending on bullet, at 1860 yards its somewhere around 360ft/lbs.

Let’s hope everyone's idea of “reasonable” has been bumped up a bit, now that they see what’s all involved with gunsmith machining.
What people don't realize, is though some of those prices seem high, think about how much a quality lathe costs. Plus the bits and tooling to go along with it.
